Christel Havre is a passionate dressage rider, enthusiast and the owner of The Dressage Boutique & Equestrian Wear. Creatively driven by the sport and fashion, she is now determined to bring a bit of Europe to Canada. In keeping with the spirit of creativity, detail and quality, The Dressage Boutique is proud to carry top brands Isabell Werth, Euro-Star, Rectiligne France, ECOGOLD, HORSEWORSHIP, and more. Our goal: to provide a variant of high-quality apparel to avid dressage riders, equestrians and spectators… to anyone with a desire for the unique and the elegant.
Christel immigrated to Calgary in 1988 from Toten, Norway, where she spent her early childhood on a family farm. Like most young girls, she fell in love with horses at first sight – her first experience sitting atop a Norwegian Fjord. Once settling in Calgary, her passion, along with her determination, continued to blossom with casual trail rides, progressing to hunter/jumper, 4-H and dressage. A 2001 trip to the European Championship in Verden, Germany cemented her interest in dressage through the opportunity to see the movement, beauty, elegance and style of the greatest dressage riders in the world. There was no turning back.
